Ivory Coast is described as a developing country, but the truth is still a poor country in western Africa, with a long history of civil war, political turmoil, and economic strife.
These school facilities will provide better shelter, nutrition, medical care, and education to more than 500 children ranging in age from five to twelve years of age.
Together we can make the difference between a life of despair and a future filled with meaningful possibilities.
Ivoire Foundation has been operating as a charitable organization since 2020, servicing the need for children for equal opportunity and secure healthy environments.
We made this our fight and promised to change lives by creating opportunities and giving hope to children and poor rural communities.
You can rest assured that your donation will be put to the best possible use by us.
5-NEED ASSESSMENT
Ivoire Foundation has identified the following needs which are not being met in Ivory Coast.
5-1-NEED
While it is difficult to determine precisely how many rural communities, villages don’t have appropriate school facilities.
Non-governmental organizations operating within the country estimate somewhere between 30,000 and 50,000 villages living without proper schools electricity and clean water.
At least 2 million to 5 million children do not have access to appropriate school amenities and decent facilities as the government currently lacks resources to care for its growing population.
Added to this, continuing political instabilities, and this situation is unlikely to change, but we have hope it will be one day.
In the meantime, the priority need of this project proposal is to have an educational institution that will join hands with the Ministry of Education’s effort of having a nation with a high level of education at all levels.
A nation that produces the quality and quantity of educated children and population sufficiently equipped with appropriate facilities and the requisite knowledge to solve the society’s poverty problems in order to meet the challenges of development and attain competitiveness at regional, global, large, and free costs.
6-SOLUTION
Ivoire Foundation plans to build appropriate school amenities facilities for more than 200 children in the village of Fresco, with 6 classrooms, an outdoor toilet, a canteen, and a library.
We also desperately need a facility to house the 13 teachers who share a two-bedroom house.
We have a history of success in caring for, educating, and finding solutions to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged children and the population in rural communities.
In addition, we have been working on providing a solution for the village to have access to clean water and are still fighting to have all villages in Ivory Coast electrified in the next decade.
Helping more than 500 children in each village per year is a tiny percentage of the needy in the Ivory Coast, but we must begin somewhere.
We wish to expand our reach within the country in time.
7-FACILITIES
A safe study environment for the growing population and wellbeing of children is of primary concern in establishing our schools, giving hope and the chance to succeed in life by solving society’s uneducated and poverty problems.
The existing school is made of mud and straw and will be replaced
with a safe basic brick structure and proper building equipment.
When construction is complete the school will include the following facilities to educate more than 200 children and house the teachers.

8-CAPACITY
More than 500 children and thirteen teachers are to be housed.
8-1-CLASSROOM
Capacity: Six classrooms that can accommodate 25/30 children in each classroom.
8-2-STAFFING
We also desperately need a facility to house the 13 teachers who share a two-bedroom house.
The existing two-bed house will be extended to a five-room villa including a toilet and kitchen.
8-3- HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Two outdoor toilets to service the school.
8-4- NUTRITION
A canteen to provide mid-day meal for the children and staff and can accommodate 300 children at once.
8-5-LIBRARY
A library will be built to provide stationery things like pencils, pens, erasers, notebooks and books.
All of the stationery would be provided at a nominal cost of £1 to £5
Additional facilities may be added in the future.
9-BUDGET
Estimated Budget: £ 25,000 to 50,000 USD approximate.
Time required for accomplishment of the Project: Maximum 1 year
Additional facilities may be added in the future.
10-COMMUNITY
This project is important to the community of Fresco and the government of Ivory Coast, both of which, although currently unable to fund the effort, desire to have a better facility in a caring environment, and desire to have their children educated so they may become contributing citizens in the country’s future. We plan to involve the community in the school’s efforts in the following manner.
10-2-COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Donations from local churches Although most ivory coast organizations do not have the funds to donate large sums to charitable efforts, most are willing to contribute small in addition, local citizens will be encouraged to donate clothing, toys, non-perishable foods, and fresh produce to the school canteen.
Although most citizens of Ivory Coast have few material goods, they have now started to offer help and are often willing to give time to the poorest, especially children. We plan to recruit as many volunteers as possible to help care for our children as well as to educate them and teach them basic skills such as being generous, feeling compassion, and helping in recognition of a need without expecting anything in return.
11-MISSION STATEMENT
We believe education is for all so in joining hands, we could reach out to those who cannot afford or don’t have the possibility to have a decent study environment.
With appropriate amenities and facilities, we could change the lives of the children by improving the study environments for this rural community of fresco in the Sassandra Region of Ivory Coast, situated in West Africa.
There is little hope and Ivoire Foundation wants to deliver that hope to children and rural communities.
Everyone deserves a chance to succeed in life, so join hands so that we can reach out to those in need and change their lives.
Yours sincerely,
